HOW TO JOIN
STEP ONE
check out our values
While this support group is a place to discuss our anxieties and emotions that revolve around climate change, it is not a resource for activism. We are hoping to take a deep dive into the emotional consequences of climate change through personal reflection and community.
|
With this in mind, see if our values align with yours. Ask yourself if you are willing to not only engage in support from your community but also be a source of support for others on an emotional and spiritual level.
|
STEP TWO
Practicality
This group will meet for 80 minutes each week for 10 weeks. The meetings will take place on Sundays in San Luis Obispo in the early evening. All groups will be lead-facilitated by Dara Sheik, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Dara has led private groups at MindfulNYU and Cottage Health.
|
The group is free, but a $25-$45 donation is suggested per group. If you can give more, that will help us offer the support group to someone who has less. If you can't afford to donate, we welcome you all the same. Your donations support the group facilitator's who contribute time, space, and professional resources to running the group.

Step three
